When I saw this gorgeous pink and white candy and dessert buffet designed by Brie and Karon of Sugarcoated Events, I was pretty much giddy. I love sweets and I’m on a major pink kick lately so it really just made my day. The beautiful photos were taken by Brie’s sister Nicola of Concrete & Honey, one of my favorite recent blog finds, and the whole look is just pretty and fun. While this spread was designed for a wedding, it would be also be lovely for a baby or bridal shower or even a fabulous birthday party. Sweets are good any time for any reason, I say.

I have a hankerin’ for neutrals + metallics as of late, so I channeled my desire into bridesmaid inspiration à la J.Crew. I tend to use jewelry for unexpected bursts of color to compensate for the modest palette.

And the finishing touch: Saipua

Hair (fascinators, tiaras, combs...)

I’ve been posting lately about choice bridal head wear becoming an art form. Well, what do you think of these Which Goose gemmies joining the great exhibit? For me the lace doilie pieces are so apropos for a bride. The colorful pieces with whimsical combos of feathers, flowers, twigs and beads offer a different swing on bridal for sure. Emily, of Which Goose creates fascinators, combs, tiaras and wreaths, all looking a bit like they belong on the heads of wood nymphs.
